"Domino Club: A tasting journey through St. Croix with Caribbean and Filipino flavors " is an immersive culinary experience that celebrates the vibrant culture, bold flavors, and island traditions of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and the Philippines. Created by Chef BJ Wright and Jerome Grant, this exclusive tasting event features a carefully curated multi-course tasting menu designed to transport guests to the heart of the Caribbean. 

Inspired by the Montpelier Domino Club, an iconic St. Croix destination nestled in the lush rainforest of the island's northwest region. Known for its relaxed, island atmosphere and the famous pigs that drink beer, the club offers a unique blend of local culture and natural beauty. 

The evening will explore the island’s rich culinary heritage through a refined, intimate, and high-end tasting experience, blending BBQ techniques with tropical island flavors and both traditional and modern.

Chef Jerome Grant
 Chef Jerome Grant is an acclaimed chef and owner of Mahal BBQ, an Afro-Filipino BBQ concept in Washington, D.C. He began his culinary journey learning Filipino cuisine from his mother and Caribbean flavors from his Jamaican heritage. After graduating from the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Grant moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he gained critical acclaim as the executive chef at the Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort. He later opened The Mix Lounge as chef-partner. In 2016, he became the inaugural executive chef of Sweet Home Café at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, which received a James Beard Award nomination for “Best New Restaurant” in 2017. Chef Grant is currently the chef-owner at Mahal BBQ, offering a unique blend of Afro-Filipino flavors. 

Chef BJ Wright
Chef BJ Wright with over 25 years of culinary experience, has worked both locally and internationally, refining his skills and developing a passion for innovative plant-based cuisine. Chef Wright is the Chef of Palm Beach Meats, a culinary concept in West Palm Beach, Florida, that combines a butcher shop, restaurant, and gourmet market. Palm Beach Meats offers a unique dining experience with a focus on community and culinary exploration. The establishment hosts various events, including chef-tasting dinners and pop-up lunches, bringing people together with food as the common denominator.
