About The Chef
Kemar Griffiths
Kemar Griffiths is a native of the Land of Wood and Water, or as we know it, Jamaica. His family moved to Ft. Lauderdale when he was 5 years old. Maintaining the Jamaican culture, his family was always in the kitchen cooking feasts. His fascination of perfecting his craft kept growing with age and he knew that he wanted one thing only, to be a chef. As many greats have before him and many will again, Kemar is self-taught. He landed his first job at the Beach Club on Fisher Island in South Beach. Kemar next went to work for Gordon Ramsey restaurant Cielo. He rose to the ranks of Jr. Sous Chef at Cielo. Determined for more, Kemar packed his bags and moved to New York City for a chef’s dream adventure. Wanting to gain as much experience in the big apple as possible, Kemar started working for Michael White, went on to work for his mentor Paul Liebrant and became Sous Chef for Marc Forgione’s restaurant. Missing the warm weather, Kemar returned to the sunshine state. Running Local hot spots like The Rusty Hook Tavern and Delray hot spot The Grove
